I have looked high and low, for nail polish for my toddler. It wasn’t until a few months ago just before she turned two, that she saw me painting my toenails and became very interested in what I was doing. With regular nail polish it’s so toxic for children, especially if ingested. My toddler is attached to two of her fingers, so painting her nails with the polish I use would not be a good thing. Thankfully I came across SNAILS. This nail polish is so incredibly safe for your child and it’s even washable!
SNAILS nail polish is made of three ingredients, all natural:
- Water
- Acrylic Polymer
- Non Toxic Colourants
It’s also 100% water soluble and washes right off, I even got the chance to try this out when I let my daughter paint my nails for the first time.
I was given the chance to check out three different colors, and at first I was unsure about letting my daughter paint her own nails. She was so interested in opening the bottle after they were fresh out of their packaging, so I took no time in opening one. Of course, I didn’t let her paint her nails at first. I made sure I tested it out to see how she would react. After all nails on both hands were painted, I handed her the little brush so she could paint mine.
For her first time I guess it wasn’t too bad, but I definitely couldn’t go out into public like that. In fact, I was getting ready to go to an appointment so I had to wash it off quick. All I took was some water (though they suggest soap and water), with a hand towel I removed it almost instantly off of my fingernails and toenails. It left no residue behind, or any coloring like normal nail polish does. It was as though I hadn’t even let my daughter paint them to begin with. With her liking her two fingers though, it was often after she painted her own nails that she would stick the two in her mouth without thinking about it. The nail polish seemed to disappear of course and she had quite the look on her face. She would even come up to me and ask me to wash her hands. It was just like washing my own nails, the water pulled the nail polish off almost instantly. This was nice especially in a rush to get out of the house, with regular nail polish it takes chemicals and all kinds of stuff just to get the stain off of your nails. Plus, the colors that I received to test out with my daughter were absolutely adorable. The different shades of pink matched any outfit she planned on wearing at any time, and she definitely had fun showing off her pretty painted nails. Let’s just say it’s hard to keep her from going after the little jars every once in a while just to paint her nails. In fact, last time she managed to paint her Daddy’s toenails. Good thing it washes off easily.
You can purchase a bottle of SNAILS nail polish for $10.29, and they also have gift packs available. Check them out!
