I was sent a box of Purex dryer sheets to try and to be honest I’ve never used Purex brand. I think they did a good job of reducing static and I could use them three times per sheet depending on the size of the load. They smelled good too and weren’t overpowering.
You can also use your fabric softener sheets to repel pet hair or to make your pet bedding smell good, repel lint, and put them in your dresser drawers or suitcase to make your clothes smell fresh.
