My son love reading and when he has a flashlight he’ll turn off the lights and loves to read under the covers. He finds it amusing to have mom or dad read to him by flashlight too. He was very excited to find this flashlight in the mail. We don’t have cable so we’re able to watch PBS Sprout during the weekends when it airs. He enjoys watching the Pajanimals whenever we are home to see them.
The Pajanimals series follows the adventures of four cuddly musical puppets — Sweet Pea Sue, Squacky, Cowbella and Apollo. Their journeys celebrate imagination and tackle typical toddler issues such as the fear of the first day of school, making new friends and learning how to share. The Pajanimals end their day of play with a relaxing return to their cozy bedroom and familiar night time routines, including bathing, brushing teeth and story time, to develop a feeling of safety and structure.
Let’s not forget about my dear daughter either! She’s able to hold the flashlight and push the button to make water and sonar sounds. She loves it also but I’m sad to say we only got one to review! Even at the ripe old age of two Miss C loves reading as well. She has to have her books in the crib and when I go to check on her she’s sleeping with a book across her back or stomach. It’s just too cute. She’s able to enjoy the glow in the dark feature and read when the lights go off.
Thursday, October 31st is our Trick or Treat night. It’s from 5PM-7PM so the sun will just be setting and when it does, the kids will have their flashlights That is if it doesn’t rain and storm like it’s suppose to!
Safe Kids Worldwide is a global organization that has some excellent tips for you and your loved ones to have a save Halloween. They are dedicaated to preventing injuries in children and Halloween is a wonderful opportunity to address nighttime safety measures. Here are a few of their tips:
When selecting a costume, make sure it is the right size to prevent trips and falls.
Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape or stickers and, if possible, choose light colors. Since masks can sometimes obstruct a child’s vision, try non-toxic face paint and makeup whenever possible.
Have kids use glow sticks or flashlights to help them see and be seen by drivers.
Connect with Pajanimals on Facebook then download some Halloween coloring pages!
One TKDI reader will be randomly chosen to win a Pajanimals Submarine Flashlight! Open to US residents only who are 18 or older. Begins 10/29/2013 at 12:01 am EST and ends 11/04/2013 at 11:59 pm EST.
