This post is part of the SPLENDA® 365 SWEET SWAPS ™ blogger program by McNeil Nutritionals, LLC. and The Motherhood, who sent me products and compensated me for my time.
Did you know experts recommend women consume no more than 6 teaspoons of added sugar a day, yet the average American eats 22 teaspoons daily. Wow! 22 teaspoons? I’m probably one of those guilty people although I don’t intend to be. Most of us vastly underestimate the amount of sugar we eat because the sweet stuff is hiding in some of our favorite foods and beverages, like vanilla lattes, fruit flavored yogurt, salad dressing and cereal. Once we realize where the sugar is hiding, we can come up with ways to eliminate the excess sugar from our diets. In fact, I was just reading the label about the fruit flavored yogurt the other day and am going to start making our own! I just had no clue about the unhealthy stuff that is a supposedly healthy food! Find recipes to help save on your sugar intake each day at 365sweetswaps.com!
