WOW Toys Dexter the Digger Review & Ernie Fire Engine Sweepstakes {Holiday Gift Guide}

My son has always enjoyed playing with your typical cars and trucks. Since we’ve been passing a construction site on the way to school he’s been fascinated with construction equipment. He has had and interest in construction since watching Bob the Builder however driving daily past the work site has piqued his interest. I knew right away that Wow Toys would be on our holiday shopping list this year with their line of construction toys that are perfect for my son!

We received Dexter the Digger to play with and the expression on my son’s face when he opened the box was utter joy. He kept repeating that it was the best present ever. I should first start by saying my son has Flip ‘n’ Tip Fred and it is one of his favorite toys. Fred is a recycle truck that lifts up the garbage and then you can dump it out or sort it in bins. He’s put everything in that truck from paper to crayons and now my daughter does the same. Dexter is now Fred’s faithful companion lifting his boulders into the garbage compactor of Fred. Dexter is a digger that lifts boulders from the ground and puts them in the construction site or in the garbage truck as my son loves to do. They actually fit in there and don’t get stuck, much to my surprise. Not only can your kids scoop up the boulders but really whatever is on the floor at the time! My son picked up all the diapers that had dropped on the floor with Dexter…it kept him busy and I didn’t have to bend over!

WOW Toys was launched at the 1997 London Toy Fair and their designs interested UK retailers. The toys are PVC free, durable, cute, and most of all fun to play with all while being battery free…mom’s favorite part! I really enjoy the interaction that my kids have with these toys. Not only are they for both boys and girls (no I don’t care if my son plays with pink and my daughter plays with Dexter) but the toys are made of high quality materials that will last. As I mentioned we have Flip ‘n’  Tip Fred that my son received  for his 1st birthday. And if it can last three years with MY son playing with it then it’s pretty durable in my opinion. And we honestly have several WOW toys on our wish list on Amazon too!
