Wholesome Entertainment For Children From Oompa Toys

By: Amanda73 Comments

taptoo1

Bright, hours of fun, entertaining and no small parts. That’s what every parent wants to hear about a toy for their toddler or infant. Thanks to Oompa Toys I was given the chance to test run this colorful wooden toy set. Quite often you see rectangle blocks or plastic toys kind of like this one, but this one is amazing. Oompa provides toys and items from books, bath toys, school gear and even organic toys. You can’t get any better than that! Plus they have a drop down menu to where they will sort the items by age, theme, brand and country where it was made. Including a section called “Not Made in China”. Pretty spectacular huh? It makes shopping so much easier so you’re not scrambling through a list of toys that you don’t need, or are too far out of the age range.

The minute I showed the box to my two year old daughter, she got all excited. It was already assembled with the colorful posts wrapped in packaging so they didn’t get damaged. As well as the little hammer that comes with it. Super easy to insert the posts in the holes of the Tap-Too, and there’s even a little spot where you can stick the hammer so it doesn’t get lost.

taptoo3

My toddler had no problem putting the parts in the holes and tapping them with the hammer. It’s not incredibly loud. Plus it’s adorable to see her hammer away, fascinated that it comes out underneath if she continues to hit it hard enough. This little toy has kept her entertained for at least a half an hour. I did have a hard time though when I tapped one of the pieces down and it was right at the bottom and ready to fall out. Once the top of the piece was too far into the hole to hit it with the hammer, the only choice was to pull it out from underneath. This has only happened a couple times and it hasn’t bothered my daughter. So if she’s happy with it, I’m happy with it! Plus it keeps her busy long enough. We have even worked on the colors of the pieces, and so far she’s been doing pretty good. Not only is the Tap-Too Pounder an entertainment toy, it’s also a learning and teaching device as well as helping with small motor skills.

One thing I will say is the product was made in China. Because my daughter does not chew on her toys anymore and is well beyond that stage, I feel safe leaving her alone with this. If it were a child any younger or still biting on things, this toy may not be good to leave them alone with.

The Tap-Too Pounder was designed in France by Janod and made in China. You can purchase it for $30.00 at Oompa Toys or Amazon!
