Who Runs The World? Girl Power Sport For Active Girls!

Who runs the World? Girls! Without trying to get too political, I find it sad that in 2016, girls (and women) are not treated with the same respect as their male counterparts. With that off my chest, we need to work at building our children up in these days. They are strong, confident and resilient little beings that need our support, love and belief in them. Parents obviously can do this, but also our schools, communities and sports programs can as well. Entering into any sport can teach our children (and especially our girls) goal setting, hard work and determination that carry into life. I was ecstatic to find Girl Power Sport, who also support active and goal oriented girls!

Girl Power Sport is a company that has created gymnastic, dance and athletic wear for girls. The clothes allow our ladies to test their limits, while wearing bold and fashionable pieces. The gymnastics line screams professional Olympian, gorgeous, well-fitting and well made. Each leotard in this mom created company are hand sewn in California! How awesome is that? The Girl Power motto is: The Power To Play. The Power To Change. The Power To Thrive. I think we should all adopt this as a life motto. Also, Girl Power donates to over 10 amazing charities. With each item you purchase, they will donate at least $1 to charity. The cool thing I noticed while shopping was it will say which charity gets the money under every piece 🙂

Girl Power clothing is absolutely perfect for my little gymnast. I did have to remind her that just because she is dressed like an Olympian, doesn’t mean she gets a free ride there, there is plenty of practice, success and failure ahead of her to make her stronger! Her favorite piece is the velvet USA ¾ sleeve leotard (and the same one we’re giving away!). Not only is the fit good on her overall, but the hug around the leg is just right. As a gymnastics mom, I am so used to seeing peeks of undies from underneath leos because the leg holes don’t fit just right. She is over the moon with the whole USA line and is proud to wear her stars and stripes. We also like the team jacket, with its slim fit and professional appearance. The fun piece is the swing top with criss cross back in foil fabric. I really could go on and on about how much I love the clothes and this company, but I really think it’s something you need to check out for all the active girls in your life!
