I am a mom of three. I’m not an expert or a pro but I have a little experience when it comes to child rearing and I’ll tell you it’s not easy! It is, however, a rewarding ‘job’ and one I take (semi)seriously (most of the time). Here are (some) things that I have in my diaper bag that I’m sure you can relate to or if you’re a new mom, what you get to look forward to putting in your diaper bag.
Wipes. OK. OK. This is a no brainer and no the new moms won’t look forward to putting it in the diaper bags in a few years. These babies go with me EVERYWHERE! ‘Never leave home without it’ does not only apply to the American Express Card.
Diapers. Here’s where the (some) things that are in my bag come in to play. I ALWAYS remember the wipes but I am guilty of forgetting the diapers. Do you know how many times I’ve had to beg a fellow baseball mom for one? I’m probably down $50 to date.
Snacks and water. Goldfish, apples, sunflower seeds, suckers, granola bars. We spend a lot of time at the ball park and I’m too cheap to let them go to the concession stand.
Crumbs. Yes. Crumbs. (See above) They are everywhere and I can never get the ones that are in the corner even after dumping everything upside down and inside out. They are lodged in there.
Band-aids. Oh Em Gee. My kids fall down a lot. And my daughter is a drama queen. Even if there’s no blood a band-aid makes everything better. Sometimes they even trump mama kisses.
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. For diaper rash of course. Little C sits in his stroller a lot when we’re at baseball games (he’s a runner and won’t stay in one spot) and sometimes his diaper gets soggy which results in a diaper rash. Butt Paste works quickly and starts healing on contact. It’s free of paraben-, preservative, and phthalates and has no artificial fragrances. After trying other cream that I didn’t care for I’ve used Butt Paste with all my children and would recommend it to new (and seasoned) parents after trying.
Original Butt Paste (for minor to moderate rash), Maxium Strength (for severe, stubborn rash), and All Natural (for minor to moderate rash and free of petrolatum) was developed by a pharmacist and father of four. He wanted to kick diaper rash fast without the harsh ingredients.
