I’ve been a brand ambassador for Umi and Flosheim Kids for the last year and my kids really enjoy trying the new shoes in different styles and colors. I actually enjoy having them help me make the decision on what to review and it’s always fun to see what floats their boats at the time. Thus far, they haven’t been disappointed with any of their choice nor have I!
Mr. C picked the Hagen in Chocolate size 30 (12 US) which is a nice pull on boot he can easily slip on and off without my help. We recently introduced him to a pair of running shoes that have shoelaces and he still needs help tying them since he hasn’t mastered that ability yet. He can put on the Hagen in five seconds and off he goes. They fit him nicely and they aren’t a wide shoe. (Which he typically needs) Mr. C typically wears a wide in all shoes he gets but I’ve found Umi to be a wider shoe than most brands and these are medium width.
I can’t forget about their running ability either. If you’ve read my Florsheim Kids review then you know these shoes have to go fast or Mr. C just won’t wear them. I’m happy to report he zoomed off around the house just fine and he gave them a thumbs up.
Miss C. liked just about all of the shoes I initially picked for her but finally settled on the Eeva in Pink Multi. She wanted ‘pohpur’ or purple but unfortunately, they don’t come in that color. We got these in a size Euro 26 or 9 US and they are a tad too big. That was a mistake on my part since she’s really between an 8-8.5 US. I just got my Euro to US size conversion mixed up.
She is also a wide and again I have no trouble getting her into a standard medium from Umi. She’s worn these around the house despite there being a tad too big. She’s a shoe girl and when she sees something she likes it’s hard to get it away from her! These shoes also come in a black multi which are just as cute.
Buy the Hagen ($65) and the Eeva ($55) on the Umi website or Amazon!
