Tonya’s Weight Watchers Journey #1

By: Tonya15 Comments

I have been overweight since I was 19 years old and I keep gaining weight as I get older.  I have had twins and a singleton but that is no reason to be as overweight as I am.  I was simply not motivated to loose weight and on some days I still struggle with that motivation (or lack thereof). My love of food does not help either but that will only motivate me to reinvent the recipes that I love.

A couple weeks ago I decided to join Weight Watchers.  I joined about 3 ½ years ago and lost 35 lbs.  Financial strain got the best of me and I quit.  However, Weight Watchers was successful for me and I really liked how it worked.  About 10 days ago I weighed myself and the scale said 326 lbs. Ouch, right?  Yes, it was most definitely time to join Weight Watchers again for myself AND my family.  There are things I can’t do with them because of my size.  When we go to the amusement park, I can’t ride any of the rides with my children.  I barely (or not at all) fit in a stadium seat so going to the ball park is fun… for them.  Don’t even get me started with the water park (that we have season passes to).  The only reason I get into a bathing suit in front of everybody is for my kids.  I know people stare, I can feel them staring but my kids love going to the pool so I do it for them.

After weighing myself two weeks ago and deciding that I was going to join Weight Watchers on Saturday I also decided to eat whatever I wanted for the week leading up to the big first weigh in. (If you’re not familiar with Weight Watchers you weigh in at a meeting once a week and only you and the person that works there sees your weight.) That was not the brightest idea I’ve ever had.  This past Saturday I went to my first meeting and come to find out I had gained a lot of weight since last time I weighed myself.  I now weigh 343.8 lbs.  What was I thinking!?!?!  I enjoyed my first meeting and I chose to buy all the material to get started.  I am now a member of Weight Watchers and on the PointsPlus plan.  I am going to share my story with you and I hope to help others get motivated to loose weight and get healthy as well.

If  you would like more information about Weight Watchers please please email me! I would LOVE to help you get started.  My email address is tonyaskidsdidit@gmail.com

The first line of attack is eating a high protein breakfast.
It does not care where you live, but it certainly does seem
to thrive on the way you live. Using a appetite suppressant will help to
prevent hunger, which could result in you eating more cheat meals than you should.

OMG Tonya – I know you. And you do not weigh that. No way!!! Are you sure your little monster and the twins weren’t on the scale with you? Good luck love! I’m thinking of starting it up (I have the point calculators and all) and seeing how I do. Good luck love!

I just reread that. You do not look at all like you weigh what you say you do. You definitely carry it well…again, good luck in your weight loss journey!

Goodluck with your weightloss! I recently started doing a 21 day challenge, with a program of my own since I can’t afford to get on a set diet right now. Keep it up, it’ll be so worth it 🙂

    Tonya,
I so much support you! Great move you’ve made joining the program. Most of all, you made it official. Now we all know that you’re on a mission!
I support you. If you need to vent or a shoulder or share your success, let me know. I know that support in this deal is crusial, as we do need motivation when there’s none. I would love to be here for you.
