Do you have kids starting back to school this year? I have a two that are off to preschool and Kindegarten and while it seems a longtime away it’s just around the corner that they’ll be needing laptops and books for college. Although the kids don’t need one now, I was able to review the Rhino II Eco-Friendly Laptop Backpack in Black by EcoGear from The Ultimate Green Store which is perfect when I take my computer on the road.
The backpack is made from PVC-free 1680D ballistic nylon and combines heavy-duty construction and eco-friendly materials. It has numerous packets and compartments that include a padded laptop sleeve that’s removable. The compartments securely zip shut and the bag features ergo-padded, adjustable shoulder straps and a moisture-wicking mesh back.
The Black Rhino Backpack is coated with Ecoweave, an Environment Pollution Omitting technology which is virtually no risk to the environment or human health. Ecoweave is an alternative to toxic PVC chemicals that are used in most conventional backpacks. Ecoweave is free of AZO, chlorine, dioxin, phthalates, and heavy metals and other ozone-depleting chemicals.
Features of the laptop backpack:
- Constructed of PVC-free 1680D ballistic nylon
- Free of PVC, AZO, chlorine, dioxin, phthalates, and heavy metals
- Clean to recycle; creates H2O and CO2 when burned
- Carries no ozone-depleting chemicals
- Colors treated with non-toxic dyes
- Padded laptop sleeve with removable carrier

It’s back to school time again. This looks like a sturdy and useful backpack for college students and adults, too. Like the idea of a moisture-wicking back. Hadn’t thought about that.
