The Perfect Gift For Your Furry Friend From KONG – Holiday Gift Guide 2013

Who doesn’t love toys for their furry friends? It’s even more important if they’re durable and last a while! Kong has the best sturdy toys for whatever size or breed your dog may be. They even have ones for puppies! I received one of their larger Kongs, three smaller ones and a large one specifically for our puppy Snoopy. We had a Kong toy a long time ago for our first dog when he was little and he absolutely loved it. Now I get to see how the other two react to them. These are perfect for hiding treats in, training your dog and even helps with anxiety if they chew on it. My two dogs have separation anxiety every once in a while when we have to leave the house and they are a little over 5 years old. I always feel bad but they can’t come with us when we go to the store shopping. Now I have something to help them with that anxiety!

Pictured from left to right is our puppy Snoopy, dogs Peanut and Monty. The nice thing about the KONG is that they are rubbery so they don’t slide out of the dog’s paw if they’re holding it. Even on the carpet they seemed to stay pretty still unless my dogs pushed them around. We actually put peanut butter in the holes so as you can see that’s what they are digging for. Treats can be stuck down inside and this even entertains them for quite a while. My furry friends went at their KONG toys for at least a good hour and a half if not two hours. Every last drop counts!

These are perfect to put under the tree as Christmas presents and you could even put a bag of treats right next to it. Spoil your furry friend! It’s very important however to make sure you choose the right size for your animal. If they’re a large dog and you give them a small one that is not meant for their weight, it might not be a good thing. Puppies really need the puppy one as it is made out of a special teething rubber special for their age. If you aren’t sure what size your dog would need KONG has plenty of information at their online store. They even have a guide on puppies and how to keep your dog healthy. I prefer KONG over any other dog toys really. They may have some scattered through the house but these are excellent for your dog no matter what breed or size they are. They’re more than worth having a few floating around the house and you want at least one per each dog of course!
