I’m just going to start out by saying, I am absolutely 100% obsessed and in love with Shirley J. As a woman who spends most of her time in the kitchen cooking three meals a day, these special items have come in handy so many times. Not only are they chef friendly (In other words, if you burn water, I’m pretty sure you could cook their products. Just saying.), they are amazingly delicious and leave you wanting more! They have all kinds of items from sugar cookie mixes to muffin mixes and even Mugging mixes!

The first product I tried was the Mugging! Quiche in a mug. I have heard of microwaving brownies and other things in a mug, but never a quiche. I love quiches, but they always have to be just right or I get picky. The mug fit perfectly in my hand, and is definitely versatile for any coffee or tea drinkers, so that’s a plus right there! The ingredients were so simple even my two year old could make it (which she didn’t, I swear). Mix, egg, cheese (and mushrooms or anything else if desired). Stir it together, place it in the microwave for 2 minutes and voila! I pulled it out, stuck a knife in it and as the directions suggested, I zapped it for a few more seconds to make sure it was fully cooked. Sprinkled some swiss cheese over the top and because the mug was still super warm, it melted on top perfectly. I dug in. I wanted to curl up in a ball and hug the mug, because of how amazing tasting the quiche was. I managed to add a little red pepper in it to give it a little zest, but just having it with no mushrooms and just the cheese, egg and mix was still delightful! This is definitely a must have for anyone who wants a quick 2 minute meal. No need to dirty anything except for the beautiful mug and a simple little fork or something to stir with. I have one package left and I ran out of cheese, so I’m kind of going through withdrawals. No one will notice, I don’t think..

The next thing I tried were the sugar cookies. I always burn cookies, the bottoms are always too dark and they don’t taste delicious. I am awful when it comes to baking cookies. These? I never burned them, and they were gone within a day, if that. Simple ingredients, so easy! I stirred them up, rolled them into balls and placed them in the oven to bake for how long the directions suggested. They came out perfect, not burnt or under cooked. I even used some of the Whisk Bliss (which you can purchase from them as well), and layered the cookies with it as seen in the photos above. My husband wanted it on all of the cookies, and I soon caught him eating the Whisk Bliss right out of the bowl itself (which you can if you desire, it definitely was yummy!). Delicious, melt in your mouth sugar cookies. They had that sweet sugary taste that every sugar cookie should have. Normally I bake cookies and they don’t come out tasting good, nor do other packaged mixes. This one was so easy, and delicious.

Last but not least I made the Biscuit and Baking mix. Again, super simple ingredients, easy to mix together and roll out on the counter. They cut just right and baked pretty quickly. I made chicken fried steak for dinner and made that yummy gravy mix to go over the chicken and biscuits. The biscuits had a sweet taste to them, but it wasn’t overwhelming like what I am used to. A pleasant taste, even without anything else with them.

I thoroughly enjoyed Shirley J’s mixes, and already have a list on what I plan on purchasing next. I do recommend each of the items I reviewed above, they are all delicious in their own way! You can purchase the Mugging! Quiche in a Mug, 5 for $12.95. The Sugar Cookie mix is $9.95, Whisk Bliss Original $17.95, and lastly the Biscuit and Baking Mix is $5.95. In total it comes to $46.80.
