SKOY Cloths {Review & Sweepstakes}

Ever spend all kinds of money on paper towels wishing there was a better solution, something not only healthy for the environment but gentle on your pocket? SKOY Cloths is the perfect answer for that. These specially designed cloths are equivalent to fifteen, that’s right, fifteen rolls of paper towels. Thanks to two stay-at-home moms from California, these SKOY cloths were designed using water-based colors and inks and are not only re-usable but are also biodegradable.

When I received the cloth it was stiff but as you run it under water it immediately softens to become soft like a paper towel though definitely thicker. These cloths feel amazing in your hands and can, beyond a doubt, live up to their expectations! Below are two sets of photos I took, the one on the top is a view of the cloth after being wet down and being prepared to wipe across the nasty gunk that you see on my counter. The set below is a before and after this amazing Skoy cloth had been used.

I am very impressed with these cloths and the fact that my husband has even commented on them stating how “Awesome these cloths are, and so much better than using paper towels.” The other great thing? These don’t pull apart like some paper towels and you can throw the SKOY cloths right into the wash like any of your other fabrics!

Another product that SKOY  has just released is their very useful magnetic sink rail, which can easily be attached to your sink. I had my husband install ours even though it was more than easy to do, I decided I just wanted to watch him do it. (It’s fun watching your husband do some work, am I right?)

In the first picture of this post shows the sink rail in use in my sink, the photo above is directly from the SKOY website so give you a better view of what it looks like. This rail is so nice to have as it allows the cloth to dry, and it also keeps it out of the way. Not only is it easy to install but it stays out of the way as well, two awesome combinations and its very useful.

The last product that I received was their SKOY scrub, another awesome product that this company has produced. Instead of using a scrub brush, you have a cloth that is made to scrub anything nasty and stuck onto dishes or surface that you just can’t get off. It’s much easier than using a scrub brush while your hands cramp up, where this makes it easier to get to those small areas that only your hands can reach to.

A couple tips for your Skoy cloths after you receive them:

   1. Microwave your Skoy cloth regularly. This will keep from bacteria build up and that nasty smell.

Note: Make sure your cloth is wet to keep it from catching fire! Be careful when removing it as it will be hot.

   2. You can place your Skoy cloth in the dishwasher, washer or dryer, this will not harm your cloths!

   3. When your cloth has lived it’s long and amazing life, compost it correctly because it is biodegradable.

Like this amazing product and want some for yourself? You can find all of these products on their website. The Skoy cloths are $6.99 for a 4-pack and the Magnetic Sink Rail can be bought for $24.99 and last but not least the Skoy scrub are priced at $5.99 for a 2-pack.

I love that it is biodegradable! I would use these for dishes and light cleaning in the kitchen. This would replace a lot of paper towels and sponges that tend to get icky.

I love that these are paper towel “like” but reusable! And washable. I’m always looking for a good rag/cloth. I’d love to try it out.

I love theses cloths! I probably used one roll of paper towels in the last year. The SKOY cloths are absorbent, easily cleaned in the washer and last for a long time.

Wow..this replaces 15 ROLLS of paper towel! What a HUGE money saver! I purchase paper towels by the 6+pack but still use them sparingly due to cost and waste! This product would put us one more step closer to saving the environment as best we can! Thank you for the giveaway!

This is what I leared about “Skoy Clothe” at the internet site http://skoycloth.com
This sounds great can be microwaved which kills baterial, reusuable and when done put in compost heap.. biodegradable..

“100% biodegradable • Absorbent • Re-usable • European-made • Compostable • Multi-use • Unique designs and fun colors! The Skoy Cloth is an innovative cloth that comes in an array of colors and designs and takes the place of your paper towels, sponges, rags, dishcloths and more. It is a European made product and 100% biodegradable when properly composted …”

Think this would save alot of money from not using as many paper towels…
