Really Great Toys – Holiday Gift Guide 2013

Really Great Toys is a company that understands the importance of childhood and all the learning and developing that occurs. Their website has an interesting assortment of items. They sell everything from dolls to outdoor play. They also have a teacher store, focusing on educational games and activities.

My daughter loves pretend , such as, playing with her dolls, playing with her toy kitchen, or pretend shopping. I have tried other shopping carts for my children and found that they are not very sturdy or do not roll on the floor/carpet too well. I was excited to receive the Melissa and Doug Grocery Cart and to see how it worked. Putting the cart together was fairly easy. The wheels were already on so I only had to add the top piece to the bottom piece with a couple of screws (this took less than ten minutes). The first thing I noticed is this grocery cart is super sturdy; it is made of metal. I also noticed right away that this shopping cart looks so real! It is just like the shopping carts used in stores and my daughter pointed that out. She felt like such a big girl using this grocery cart.

This cart cruises around the house very easily with its pivoting front wheels. It even glides right over any area rugs in my house. Also, a great added bonus, there is a folding seat! I think my daughter took every single doll and stuffed animal for a ride in this grocery cart! The seat folds up and down which is great because my son likes to put huge toys in here; so he just folds the seat up.

This really is a fantastic toy and my children have been playing with it nonstop. It is extremely well built but most importantly, my children love it! My daughter takes it on “grocery trips” to my kitchen where she fills it up with food from our cabinet. My son loves playing with it too. He likes to fill it up with his toys to take into the living room to play. I would definitely recommend this great cart!
