Have you ever wanted a special pancake mix that tastes out of this world? Shirley J has gone and done it again with amazing baking items. I was provided with their breakfast line which includes Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix as well as their Whole Grain Pancake & Waffle Mix. The line also has the Timeless Grains which is an oatmeal that you boil with water. Their breakfast line is so delicious, I had to make both containers of pancake mix on two different mornings. It all started with the Buttermilk, which I added bananas to and that only enhanced the amazing flavor of the mix. To say it was really good is an understatement. The packages do not taste as though they were packaged and shipped, instead they taste as though it was professionally made in my kitchen and brought to life with adding some water.

As you can see the pancakes form nicely. I even made a Mickey Mouse pancake for my daughter and husband, both of whom devoured the food quickly. The rich flavor of the both pancake mixes are surprising. Sweet, full of flavor and they melt in your mouth with some syrup and butter dabbed on top. I also noticed they didn’t burn as quickly as other kinds I have tried, so breakfast didn’t get burnt which usually happens. Oh, and the oatmeal mix? I didn’t get the chance to take a picture of the final product, but like normal oatmeal boiled in a pot with water it was drool worthy. I added just a little bit of milk to my daughter’s bowl and some honey to mine and they both tasted amazing. Not too sugary, in fact it wasn’t too sweet but there was flavor in both. Much healthier than having a bowl of sugary cereal or a bland bowl of plain oatmeal. It was just right for my daughter who is only two, to eat by herself without me worrying.
