Prepare For An Awesome Halloween With Costume Express

assassinscreed3We all love costumes for Halloween. We like well known costumes and the kind of costumes that we may have never seen before. It’s the joy of dressing up like no one else and being unique. Halloween is a time to look like something you can’t on a daily basis. Go trick or treating and get those compliments that just make that night so much better. In order to get those compliments you need the best costumes out there right? Costume Express has such a broad range of outfits you can pick from that fit your unique style or character for your night of dressing up. I was able to review a few costumes from this awesome company. My husband didn’t have a costume yet so I picked out Connor’s outfit from Assassin’s Creed III. For any gamers out there you know exactly who he is. This is a licensed Assassin’s Creed product from Leg’s Avenue. Below are some up close and personal photos of the costume.

assassinscreedhalloweenThis costume is well put together. My husband is 6’2″ so he is very tall for this costume. I picked an XL for him to wear because of his height. The sleeves are a little short though the leather gloves on both sides cover that up. The fabric is definitely not cheaply made although the chaps have the seam sticking out. Not very noticeable when the entire outfit is put together. The entire top is sewn together although you can undo the buttons for an easier way to put it on, and the red belt has velcro on the inside of the top to hook to. I’m happy to say I love the costume on my husband and even though I wish it came with the pants in the photo that the model is wearing. There are black strings that are attached to the chaps that need to tie around something so my husband wore a pair of shorts that had belt loops. Hopefully by Halloween we can find a pair of pants that work with the costume.

The hood is not as long as my husband had hoped it to be. The model on the package makes it look as though there’s more fabric to the hood and there really isn’t. It may depend on whether the costume wearer has a long or short neck. It is removable though or you can lay it on your back when you don’t want it covering your head. Overall this is an excellent costume for anyone who is a fan of Assassin’s Creed or just wants to dress up as a good looking assassin!

harrypottercostumeMy nephew received the Death Eater costume to review. I did take the mask out of the package to help bend it back into shape as it looked a little flattened as you can see in the above photo. Sadly because of the material of the mask it had cracked. The design is not as detailed as the photo shows and it is a little larger than I expected for him. The size of this one is an Adult one size fits all which could be why the mask was a little big for him. Thankfully, the costume fit very well other than being slightly long on the bottom. If you plan on wearing this outside on Halloween night and it may be cold, plan on wearing a long sleeved shirt or even some jeans as the fabric is not thick. It’s a very thin material but comfortable on the skin. Overall it looks pretty cool in photos! My nephew was not that wild about this one as it looks like it would better fit an adult.

costumeexpressMy nephew wanted to dress up as a Skeleton Zombie. This costume turned out awesome! The texture on the gloves, mask, chest and pants are incredible. Although the chest feels as though it’s a big foam and plastic piece which moves in an awkward fashion when he walks, it still looked pretty cool. The costume fit him like a glove and he’s not even a teenager yet. I picked a Teen size for him and there’s enough room for movement so he’s comfortable. If you look at the pants, the best part of the costume, the bones look so real! As for the fabric pieces of the costume, he will probably wear a thick shirt and pants underneath as it’s very thin to the touch. Overall I would highly recommend this for any parent looking for a very well detailed costume for their teen or child. My brother couldn’t stop saying how much he liked this costume. It’s pretty cool.
