Piggy Paint is Natural as Mud {Review and Sweepstakes}

My daughter is two and has really become quite the little style diva. It seems two is the magical age where girls are trying to dress themselves and want to try to pick out their clothes. I knew she would love to have color on her nails and I couldn’t think of any polish that was nontoxic I could use. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to review Piggy Paint and we had a wonderful time trying all of the different colors!

According to Piggy Paint:

“Piggy Paint is as Natural as Mud in the sense that every ingredient in the polish is biodegradable with no traces or residues left behind, thus it would make an excellent addition to your mulch pile. The acrylic resins are present in the polish as emulsions-very similar in form and function to milk. The term “resin” is quite generic and refers to any polymer which can form a film as it dries. In this sense, proteins, cellulose, sugars, and DNA, to name a few “natural” polymers, are resins and none of these are any less harmful than the resins we use in our polish.”

Miss C loves to put her fingers in her mouth since she has four pesky teeth STILL coming in. They just won’t fully pop through so I was very comfortable putting Piggy Paint on her nails. I had no qualms about her swallowing the polish which was inevitable. She was a little uncertain on what we were doing but eventually her squeals of delight were infectious and I knew this would be a weekly party for us!

We also had unexpected visitors when our Piggy Paint arrived. My mom, sister and her son decided to drive up from Ohio and surprise us! Miss C had a great time with her granny painting their nails. I could hardly get a finger in to paint!  Not only did we have fun painting our nails but Miss C painted granny’s as well. And of course not so be outdone, my son and nephew just had to paint their toes!
