Simone France. It just screams rich but elegant and perfect. These guys know skin care. They know how to pamper your face whether it’s dry, normal or oily. Instead of just being a nice catchy name, they have more for you than what you think. Cleaning your skin the proper way is very important. If you’re just using a moisturizer or cleaning your skin in the morning and at night it just might not be enough. Simone France can help you with that. Providing 50 years of Classic French Skin Care they have created lotions, moisturizers, soaps and more specifically for your needs. I received the Normal to Dry Travel Package and I was extremely excited to try it out. I usually wash my face at night but I was missing the important step in the morning. Another thing I never did or had never done before, was the clay mask. The kit comes with a package of disposable cleansing cloths that are very soft on your skin, and an instruction manual so you know how to clean your skin properly.
I started with the morning skin care. The first time I did the process I was nervous that I would break out or my skin would be way too oily after using the moisturizer. My skin balances on oily and dry, so they sent me a small container of Lovely Glow which is a moisturizer for dry skin. I didn’t get to use it mainly since the regular moisturizer worked perfect! Not once did I have oily skin after cleansing, so I must say I’m very happy with these products.
Don’t mind my scary face. On the left is me without ever having used Simone France before. You might not see a difference from the left unless you look close enough. My face is not as puffy and I look rejuvenated with my skin cleansed and ready to face the day. Pun intended.
The regimen for the week is very easy. Every morning you do the what Simone France calls “The Sandwich”. This involves the Moisturizer, Refining Scrub, Soap, Cleansing Cloths and water. Very straight forward. They do recommend if you have sensitive skin not to use the refining scrub and I can see why. I still use it but it definitely is a little rough on the skin. I’m pretty sure my pours are very open. Every night or once whenever in the day it calls for the Touch and Glow. This is straight forward. Cleansing Milk and Toner with Cleansing Cloths and water. These routines are only a couple minutes a day and they don’t take a lot of time out of your life. Lastly they recommend the Mask Duo to be done every week. I did it at least once a week, which means I’ve only done it twice since I received the package. The Mask Duo is interesting.
Yikes! Kidding. After I did the mask duo my skin felt smooth and clean. It was pretty fun feeling the clay mask cling to my skin since I had never really done one like that before. Quick, easy and straight to the point. Skin care used to make me nervous since I never knew what I was doing and most of the items I got didn’t have clear cut instructions. Simone France provides all of that for you, even if you’re a beginner like me!

I have dull skin!
I took the test and found out a LOT of info I did not know like:
You are using a drying form of cleanser and not getting your skin optimally clean.
All liquid and rinse-off cleansers, even those with some good ingredients in them, are drying by their nature. It’s just a natural fact of this form of cleanser.
They all leave a thin film behind that builds up every day, further drying and irritating your skin.
Liquid cleansers are not good at removing oil, impurities or make up. You need something with a bit of oil in it, like a cleansing milk to dissolve these daily deposits. Think about it – if you put your lipstick on and then drink water, the lipstick stays put. But eat a few French Fries and it’s gone!
It is very important, no matter what products you use, that you wipe them off with a soft, absorbent, hygienic cloth. For now, if you just wipe off your cleanser with a soft, wet, absorbent cloth that has no product on it (like a washcloth or our Signature Cleansing Cloths), you’ll be doing your face a favor. No amount of rinsing with your fingers will thoroughly and completely remove all traces of product, oil and impurities.
The truth is no cleanser of any type will get your skin as clean as a bar of soap — the trick is to get the cleansing benefits of soap with none of the drying side effects that occur when you just use soap and water. That’s what our special Sandwich method is all about.
