Do you love the Night At The Museum Movies? My son is finally getting into the movies that aren’t cartoons and it’s so much fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching cartoons but I love answering my children’s questions they have when they see ‘real’ movies. We recently watched the first and second Night at the Museum movies about a dozen times…each! We didn’t go to the theatre to see Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb but we had a fun family movie night. They were very excited to see what I had for them to watch and went to get their stuffed Dexter so he could watch too. What do you need for a fabulous family movie night? Pizza, international snacks and popcorn curtesy of Fox Home Insiders!

One of my son’s favorite characters in the Night at the Museum movies is Rexy the Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton. He comes to life at night and loves to chase his bone. We received an awesome skeleton to put together of Rexy and Big C wanted portray him coming out of the movie and eating the candy that we were sent. He spent a lot of time setting up this shot and chose this picture to capture the awesomeness.

The kids enjoyed watching the movie and their favorite part was when Dexter peed on the hot lava in Pompei to save Jedidiah and Octavius.  My daughter was funny and hid her face when they were being chased by the Triceratops but overall she stuck through it. I must say the beginning of the movie had me laughing really hard. There’s just something about cats on YouTube chasing a laser pointer that makes you smile then mix in miniature Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan and you have comedy. On the flip side seeing Robin Williams as Theodore Roosevelt was sad for me since I can still picture him in a lot of my favorite comedies. His laughter on and off-screen will always be remembered. My kids also enjoyed the ending where they danced around the room while the credits rolled.
