I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Mom Corps YOU. I received a free trial to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
I have a secret to admit. I have a Bachelors Degree and have never used it. Never. Not once. I’ve often felt that I haven’t done enough to contribute to my family’s well being and financial stability. And those student loans…I have no income to pay for them. In a way it was a very wasted education. I guess I was never educated or motivated to FIND the right job for me. I ended up working for peanuts at a retail store and then became pregnant and a stay at home mom. I blame myself for a lot of our financial hardships that I think could have been avoided had I entered the workforce for at least a few years.
Now that I blog, I have a chance to help my family financially. No, it’s not going to buy us a million dollar house, but my hard work can pay for our grocery budget or get that credit card paid off sooner than if I didn’t do anything at all. I like the idea of taking ownership of my life as Mom Corps believes. It’s my life and obligations that no one else is going to live it for me!
I’ve been watching the webinar about building resumes and I’ve been diligently working from scratch. Will I submit it to any potential employer outsides the home? Probably not since I’m five months pregnant but opportunities come along all the time for freelance and social media. What exactly is Mom Corps and what can the do?
