If you’re a parent or grandparent of a small child, I’m sure you have a drawer, cupboard and most likely purse or diaper bag full of sippy cups, lids and extra parts. My kids really are old enough to be out of the sippy cup stage, but sometimes they’re just clumsy! I was introduced to the new brand SipSnap and was able to try a couple of their awesome products.
SipSnap was created by a two mom run company called Double Double that has created silicone, one size fits all sippy cup lids. We got to test out both the SipSnap Tot and SipSnap Kid. The Tot lids are what you traditionally think of with sippy cups, with a mouth spout. Since they are made of silicone, they easily stretch and fit over any of your existing cups. So any of those loose cups you’ve been hanging onto after you have lost the top, or like me, melted it in the dishwasher, now have a refreshed use!
The Kid lids have a hole for a straw to go through which is great because we have a ton of those dollar plastic kid cups lying around and these lids keep the drinks more secure! We already use bendy straws and crazy straws to add a little more fun to our drinks. Both sets of tops are easy to use, and stretch of multiple types of cups and glasses. After using them in the house we started thinking of many more uses as well. These are great for on the go. If you buy a set, they come with a compact carrying case that you can throw in your purse or bag to have while you’re out. Also, I know many of us are on the go quite often and these lips are so versatile and can be thrown on a cup of milk to be finished on the road.
I know we’ll be using these once the weather breaks and we start spending time outside again. The lids can be put on top of a nice cup of lemonade or tea and keep the flies and bugs out! The other thing I love is that the lids are dishwasher safe! Toss them in, clean them up and use again and again.
