I’m Amanda, a ‘somewhere in her thirties’ SAHM who thinks she should have achieved more in her life by now. While I adore my three kids (7,5, and 2) I never envisioned myself as the stay-at-home-mom type…and neither did anyone else. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart (yep those do exist) for 15 years this August and we live in the suburbs of Southeastern Ohio. I love playing darts, poker, video games, and any type of card or board game. I’m also an avid reader and a wanna-be organization junkie and minimalist! Clutter makes me anxious. Follow me on my adventure as I try to figure myself out. Please contact joyskidsdidit@gmail.com to work together.
Hi! I’m Tiffany, a Northern Ohio native and mommy to three awesome kiddos 10, 8, and 4, still a little bleary eyed and out of my mind but thank goodness for coffee! I am always on the lookout for fun activities to keep the kids busy and learning. It’s amazing how fast they grow. I’m a full time working mommy who dreams of staying home with my littles. I’m also pretty active on social media helping everyone find great giveaways and content. Find me pretty much everywhere as SchmidtMommy.
I am Dana, a 42-year old stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful daughters. Sophie is 15 and entering her sophomore year of high school. She will be driving this year! Ack! She loves animé and drawing. Lily is 12 and will be entering the 7th grade. She plays the clarinet (and recently took up the bass clarinet). She loves Harry Potter, baking, and everything comic book related. Amelia is my 5-year old fireball princess. She starts kindergarten this year and was so excited to watch the school bus practicing its route this morning. She loves everything about her sisters and all of their interests, but also loves to curl up and watch Daniel Tiger and Peppa Pig. My husband is an app developer and works so hard so I can stay home and take care of all of the day-to-day things with the house and the girls. I have my degree in Art History, but have never really done much with it, aside from my totally useful trivia contributions. In February of 2015 I started my own business and have been so excited to watch it grow by leaps and bounds.
A couple of years ago, I came across a product called FOE in a small Facebook group. I was curious. So many pretty colors. I bought some that were pre-made into headbands and put them away in my gift bin to give my daughter for Christmas. I bought some hair bows to attach to them. I thought I was set. Then I came across shabby flowers. Oh, my. Even more pretty colors. So, I bought some. And then I bought more FOE to make my own headbands. Every little princess needs a tutu to go with her new headbands, so I ordered tulle to make her a pretty skirt.
Youtube and Pinterest became my best friends as I created the best homemade Christmas for my daughter. After the holidays, I wanted to keep creating. Birthday gifts for nieces soon followed. I started to look into new projects and realized I needed to have some money coming in if I wanted to keep getting supplies. That is when my Etsy adventure began.
The hardest part was coming up with a name. HairBows&Tutus,Too didn’t work. Many other names were too long or already taken. My youngest said I should name it Dana’s Bowtique, as she was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I didn’t like the flow, so I started adding my daughters’ names to find a good fit. When I was pregnant with my middle daughter, I called her Lilybeans. Lilybean’s Bowtique sounded perfect to me. I added the “z” to make it a little more funky.
Over the past year and a half, I have added new styles and products. I started out as a ready-to-ship business and am slowly getting into more made-to-order and custom order products. I love creating something new and unique for my customers. I love being challenged and can’t wait to embark on my next crafting adventure.
