We try to eat as a family as often as we can but it’s very hard when your husband works retail. He often doesn’t get home until after the kids are in bed. Despite daddy not being home for dinner we eat as a threesome and it’s very helpful when I can just throw something quick in the oven without having to worry about slaving in the kitchen with kids underfoot. Potatoes are always an easy side, especially with grilled cheese or hot dogs if we’re in a time crunch before sports practice.
We tried McCain Smiles and they were a huge hit. My daughter absolutely thought they were great and had quite the time making them zoom around and dipping them in ketchup and sour cream. Regardless of who is at the table for dinner, it is still an important time of the day for our family. It gives us a chance to catch up or just genuinely enjoy each others company, even if it is just me and the kids!
