March Into Spring with Almondina Biscuits! {Review}

Almondina Biscuits are to die for, not literally speaking, but enough to make you want so, so much more after one bite. The best part about this biscuit is it’s an all natural cookie. Yes, I was surprised to see this too! It also has no added fat or salt, no cholesterol, and no preservatives. Wow! So basically these delicious looking packages are actually healthy for me to eat? You got that right! Oh, and calorie counters out there, like me, there is only 30 calories per slice! I KNOW, I almost ate one package myself but I had to taste all of them to give my honest opinion so I may have eaten more than I should have. Once you try one, or the whole package, you won’t blame me either, honest!

The flavors I received were Choconut, Original, Chocolate Cherry, Sesame, Gingerspice and Cinnaroma. To start off, I tried the Original first. It’s the perfect way to see how the original recipe tastes before diving into the other flavors. The minute I bit into that thin slice of cookie it was at first crunchy, but then it slowly melted in my mouth. Let’s just say I stood there for a good couple of minutes just to savor that delicious flavor. The cookie was sweet, you could taste so many ingredients all at once before swallowing, and it definitely made me want more. I couldn’t just take one, oh absolutely not, I had to have a couple more. I even found myself going back into the kitchen to steal another one out of the package before my daughter saw me take one. Yes, I even gave my daughter a couple of them since they are all natural with no extra stuff to make it dangerous or unhealthy for her to eat. In fact, I felt better giving her these than the Cheerio’s I buy at the store for her to snack on.

I can’t describe every flavor I tried so you will definitely have to purchase some and just take my word for it. They are worth it. My husband took the Choconut flavor though surprisingly he let me taste some just because my excuse was, “I have to tell others about them! I have to be thorough!” Well, he didn’t exactly believe me but I was being honest! Although I will admit the one flavor that did throw me off a little bit was the Sesame, but after a couple bites it had me wanting more. There was something in the flavor, something in those couple of bites that I took that just lingered there and made me crave. So how do you take care of a craving? Eat more, and I did.

With the Chocolate Cherry you can definitely taste the pieces of cherries that were stuck in the cookie and the nice part was the mixture with the chocolate. It was like eating chocolate covered cherries. Yummy! With that said and to sum up the other flavors, take a look at the name of each and if it says Chocolate Cherry, you will taste chocolate cherry with a hint of the original flavored cookie in every flavor you try.

Like the mission of Almondina says, “To put a delicious healthful cookie on every table,” They did just that. Bravo! Expect me to be picking a bunch more up in the near future and the rest of my life!

You can find Almondina cookies at their website or in a local store using their store locator to see if there is one near you. They are priced at $3.49 or $4.79 for a 4 oz package, or you can order bigger quantities to save money! Find them on Facebook and Twitter too!
