Have you ever taken your kids to an event where all parties pay, regardless if the adult is participating? Yeah, me too. I do it, because I want to see my children enjoy the experience. What if you could go and only pay if you do choose to take part? Sounds too good to be true almost, doesn’t it?! When we were on our vacation, we found just the place, located right in Myrtle Beach! Let me introduce you to Family Kingdom, where kids are royalty!
Family Kingdom is a family friendly amusement park, with FREE admission! Yep, completely free, with no gate charges just for walking in. Once you get inside, the experience is completely up to you. If you know your kids will want to ride everything, and maybe for a second or third time, I would suggest purchasing a ride wristband. The wristband will get you unlimited rides throughout your day. You can also just buy individual tickets, or a booklet of tickets, depending on how many rides you or your children want to try.
Since we were traveling with kids with a variety of ages, I at first was nervous that each would enjoy themselves. They and other family we met there, all had a blast and wanted to ride again and again. There was even plenty to keep my 18 month old happy. She didn’t have to just sit and watch her older siblings and cousins have all the fun, she got to join in as well. There were traditional kiddie style rides, thrill rides, some rides you get wet and even the full family pleasing Ferris wheel. Family Kingdom also offers a wide array of carnival games and delicious concessions (at an additional cost). After sharing shaved ice, fried and funnel cakes, the kids we on cloud nine.
Another fantastic piece of Family Kingdom fun, was we met a very talented face painter. She was so sweet, had a great selection of designs, was faster than many I have encountered and best of all… she was FREE š Family Kingdom was the perfect spot for us all to have as much fun as we wanted, without paying just to enter. We went during the week, when the park didn’t open until the afternoon and we still had more than enough time to enjoy everything we wanted, snack and play. Also, you can add-on a water park wristband and enjoy the connected Splashes Water park (on the oceanfront!) for a fraction of the cost of similar parks. You can make a full day off water and rides or you can split your Family Kingdom adventure into two different days. Any way you do it, you will definitely enjoy!
