During the summer months my family loves to grill anything and everything. Oh for it to be June again! Normally I’m okay with the snow and less light but these days I’d give anything to light a fire anywhere but the fireplace! We were looking forward to the idea of having burgers, especially a different type of burger since I’ve never tried turkey burgers.
I couldn’t find the Jalapeno Turkey burgers at my local Wal-Mart so I bought regular and have checked back a few times since my husband was keen on trying the jalapeno.
It was just as well because I wasn’t sure if the kids would like the spice. My daughter is a burger fan but my son is not. He would prefer chicken and thinking about it now, I know why he ate and liked his turkey burger and she ate a few bites and was done. Yep, the ‘duh mom’ moment since I couldn’t figure out why she wasn’t eating!
We are also big fans of guacamole and my children love dipping their chips in something green. My son thought it was fun putting the guacamole on his turkey burger and the combination tasted great. He really did eat most of his meal so this mom will be buying him turkey burgers when we grill this summer!
