Idahoan Brings You An Easy Meal To Your Table

By: Amanda19 Comments

I participated in this event on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers for Idahoan Foods. I received Idahoan products to facilitate my review. All views and opinions are my own. Sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment.
idahoanpotatoesAre you busy? I know I am. School, work, holidays, errands… I think the list will go on forever and ever! I mark off one item and add 50 more. I love easy peasy meals that I can get from stove to the table in minutes. I admit, before I had kids I cooked a lot more often than I do now but with three kids under six I need convenience.  Idahoan instant mashed potatoes give you an easy side or a simple recipe to help save (and give you) a little extra time which we could all use.

We decided to make an easy peasy meatloaf (I’m talking throw in some cracker crumbs, seasoning, egg and Worcestershire sauce) green bean casserole and mashed potatoes which are pretty much our go-to sides when preparing a meatloaf. I made the Mashed Potato Topped Green Bean Casserole which was a no-brainer for me. I always have those ingredients on hand and make green bean casserole in my sleep.

I made the Buttery Homestyle Flavored Mashed Potatoes to top the green bean casserole. If you can boil water, you can make these potatoes. It took about five minutes for the two cups of water to boil then I added the packet of potatoes to the pot. Stir and viola. An instant side dish to any meal. I did substitute a cup of milk for one cup of water and added salt and pepper.
