My kids love to go Trick or Treating and I start asking them what they want to be for Halloween in August before school even starts. This is not so I can go out and buy their costumes, it’s so I know they are serious about their selection or if they’ll change their minds 50 times. Fortunately, my kids are usually set on what they want and don’t waiver but I know some kids are the opposite and have a different answer every time you ask. My son was pretty much set on being a character from Pokemon but not Pikachu..which is the character you can get at all of the costume stores that pop up before Halloween. He wanted to be Mega Charizard X, a blue dragon in his evolved form…go big or go home right? My daughter wanted to be a super hero like Wonder Red from Super Why. Great Pretenders was able to provide my kids with the costumes they wanted. Whew. I am not a seamstress so I really dodged a bullet this year!
And Super Girl is off! She really loved zooming around the yard and saying ‘Super Caety to the rescue’.

Thick and not flimsy like those you find in stores. The cape is also very well made and Velcros under the chin. Miss C has worn this costume everyday since it came in the mail. She just loves it.
My son chose the Fire-Breathing Dragon for his costume and absolutely had a blast running around the yard. You can two loops at the ends of the wings that go over his fingers so he can make them fly.

Great Pretenders has costumes for all seasons, not just Halloween. I really love all of their costumes and pretend play is so important to kids. Using imagination is an important part of childhood that often gets overshadowed by technology and video games. I’m very happy with our Great Pretenders costumes and I think I’m going to order the Crystal Queen dress and Spider Toddler Cape for Miss C. She’s so hard to shop for and I know she’d love them for the holidays!
