Give The Gift Of Creating With Gramma

This year so many of us have given up and lost so many things. Around the holiday time, it’s the traditions and the making of memories which is the hardest to let go of. Sure, shipping presents is pretty easy (unless you chose USPS), however, it’s the face-to-face events that are the hardest to transition. Also, in a year of hardship, many of us are looking for experiences instead of more things.

subscription box

I have received and used Gramma in a Box in the past and love everything about it. For those of you who may have never heard about this great gift idea, let me introduce you.

Each month you will receive a fun-filled box of treats to make. Your box includes almost everything you need to make and decorate up to 20 cookie and candy treats, including fresh homemade cookies, a variety of sprinkles and colored frosting, two easy candy crafts, a detailed instruction sheet with photos, as well as decorating ideas. Some months will also include holiday theme candy and cookies, such as Valentine’s, Halloween, and the 4th of July. This will be a fun memory maker for children who do not live near their Gramma, or as a great activity for when Gramma visits!

My favorite thing about the boxes is that everything is right in the box. You can be as creative as you’d like, without the hassle of getting way more supplies than you need. Traditionally if you’d want to make these treats, you’d be getting full-size candies, ingredients for cookies, and the like. Potentially then, a half bag of flour or sugar can sit in your pantry until you’re feeling inspired again.

My favorite idea that came from this is the potential to re-create holiday memories in the kitchen. If families can’t travel or aren’t creating large-scale get-togethers, this is the perfect memory-making box of love. One of our family traditions is multiple generations gathering in the kitchen and making all of the sweets for our family Christmas. This year, it’s just not looking the same. Luckily, with technology, there is the availability to share this experience with those we love but aren’t gathering with. Video chat with grandma and show her how the kiddos are creating melted snowmen, or how cute their cutouts turned out.

Gramma in a Box keeps the love behind baking and wraps it in a subscription box for us all to enjoy. Enjoy letting Gramma do all the work so you can have all the fun!
