Shopping for costumes for your children can be difficult, especially when you have no idea what it will look like on your child when you get it in the mail. I picked out the Minnie Mouse Glow in the Dark Costume for my two-year- old daughter and I got a size 3T-4T. She’s growing out of all her size 2T clothing so I figured a size up would be better. The outfit fit perfectly with a bit of movement around the waist and arms. Very comfortable and not itchy. The dress has a second layer under it with pretty lace and fabric at the bottom to peek out when she walks. The ear headband is a little big on her head so I bobby pinned it and put a little clip on so it didn’t move when she looked around. She stood in the kitchen and decided spinning around in it was much more fun than allowing me to take photos. Taking pictures of a moving toddler is very difficult to do.
After she had it on for about ten minutes in the house she climbed up onto the couch and her knee caught the dress just enough for it to tear around the waist. A picture of the damage is below. Sadly, I wasn’t too happy that it tore that easily, but thankfully the customer service is so amazing that they are sending me a new one so my daughter can have it in time for Halloween!
I did try it out in the dark to see if it glowed and it does! I didn’t take a picture because the photo wasn’t turning out for me at all but she was entertained for a good ten minutes just playing with the dress. It’s such a cute costume and after I pick up a pair of black dress shoes and lace ruffle socks she’ll be all set to woo everyone at the Halloween party!
