School is winding down for holiday break and the kids are anticipating fun, fun and more fun during their off time from school. I can tell they are antsy and keeping them busy is sometimes not an easy task…except when candy, especially Airheads, and a craft is involved.

Airheads sent us a fun package to craft our creations. We just needed a bit of muscles and imagination. The kids really wanted to make pizzas (because after all they needed candy AND cookies) but as you can see we were only sent white and orange Airheads. That didn’t matter to the kids though.

We used the cookie as the dough so we could layer our toppings. The Airheads were a little hard to roll but supermom was there to lend a helping hand! We also found a green Airheads in the pantry we decided to use for some “peppers” on the pizza.

My son was determined to roll out his candy for the ‘cheese’. I’m surprised he had any cookies left to put his crust on since he kept eating them and the Airheads! I encouraged each of them to use their imaginations and to just have fun. Here’s what they came up with:

airheads

My daughter made a ‘really tall pizza pie in the sky’. She used the Mystery Airheads as cheese and the Airheads bites as toppings.

My son started making a pizza but the pizza slowly morphed into a snowman. I fully believe this was to gain more cookies and candy. I can’t say I blame him. For the rest of the day I heard about warm hugs and if I wanted to build another snowman!

My nephew went traditional with his pizza and put three different kinds of cheeses including Bleu. Although he said the green was mold so maybe it wasn’t so traditional!

The finished projects may not look like we intended but the importance of the kids having fun is what counts. They were just so happy being together and act silly and goofy while crafting. They really love to help me with my projects and we always have fun as a family. Learn about Airheads candy and find more fun ideas for #AirheadsCrafts.

How fun! My girls would be so confused. I am always telling them don’t play with their food! I will save this for a dreary day activity!

Wow, I had no idea Airheads made this kind of crafty candy! I use to take the strips and melt them in the microwave and then eat them, it would be stringy like cheese! I like that they make all these varieties now, it’s always fun to play with food!!
