Frego Containers Review {Holiday Gift Guide}

I am always buying containers. It seems I can never find containers that are both oven and microwave safe and in my opinion it saves me a lot of time and effort. I don’t have to worry if I need one container for this or that and what to put my husband’s lunch in etc etc. I found Frego containers online while searching for Tupperware and I was very excited to see these were both microwave and oven safe. No chemicals from the plastic leaching into our food, even better!

I let my son pick out the colors and he chose green (for him) and honeysuckle (for sister). I often have to pack my son’s lunch for school and these are GREAT to put a sandwich into. I just take the glass out of the container before I put the sandwich in and away he goes. I could have left the glass in since he’s accustomed to using glassware at Montessori but accidents do happen. Yes, we have dropped it A LOT and I can vouch for the durability of the silicone sleeve. I honestly don’t mind my kids handling them and it makes their after dinner jobs of clearing the table and putting leftovers away that much easier.

Features that I love? Well there are quite a few:

• Dishwasher safe.
• BPA, PVC, Polystyrene and Lead free.
• Leak proof and spill proof.
• Silicone sleeve provides a cushion to prevent shattering.
• Frego glass can be used from -40 °F up to 600 °F.
• Frego silicone can be heated to 464 °F.
• You can put warm Frego containers directly in the freezer…awesome!
• All components are microwave and oven safe.

Not only are their containers awesome but the founder, Juhi, and her family are doing awesome things for the community too. In September they donated to Military Families Back-To-School programs for children who needed school supplies. And they have also initiated fregogiving designed to give to children’s charities and help local communities.

Are you ready to order yours today? We love the green and honeysuckle colors but they also come in blue and orange and retail for $17.95. Amazon also has all four colors on sale for $59.95! One TKDI fan will also win TWO of their very own Frego containers in our Grand Prize Sweepstakes! Ends 12/11.

    Anything that dishwash and microwave safe is a winner in my book! Is it odd that I want to ask for these for Christmas? lol

    These sound so useful! I’ve always worried about my husband reheating food in the plastic containers. I also think it’s great this company gives back to others. More companies should follow their lead!
