I received the products mentioned below for free as part of a #FitMadeFun party by MommyParties. All views and opinions are my own.
On September 6th LeapFrog set out to get kids up and moving by having a ‘Fit Made Fun’ day. LeapFrog wanted to break a world record to help get kids up and active! Since we couldn’t make it to California, we had a MommyParty with the new LeapBand , a wearable activity tracker that encourages kids to get active with customizable virtual pet pals. LeapBand tracks kids’ every movement and suggests fun active challenges. The more they move, the more points they earn to unlock virtual rewards for their pets and get to new levels!
To begin playing with the LeapBand your child chooses the pet they want to use and a name for that pet. It was entertaining watching my son listen to all the silly names for his pet and finally decide on the one he liked. The LeapBand has fitness activities and challenges that it suggests for the children to participate in. They are rewarded with points or jewels if they complete the activites. Earning more jewels lets them unlock more pets and virtual rewards that fill up their treasure boxes.
During the party the kids enjoyed moving around and jumping everywhere. We had kids that could not read so the audio instructions were great. I didn’t have to stand there and read instructions to the kids which made them feel independent. My three-year-old could follow the directions easily and had a lot of fun jumping like a kangaroo and leaping like a frog. It was great to see everyone active and just playing and finding things to do outside. Max really enjoyed climbing a tree and everyone had fun playing tag.
Other features of the LeapBand include a rechargeable battery (no spending extra money on replacing batteries), water resistant which came in handy since my son decided to get out the hose and spray everyone, and parental controls. If I don’t want my kids playing during dinner or sneaking it into their rooms at night, I can set school and quiet time modes.
When the kids needed a break and a snack we had CLIF Kid ZBars. We were able to try the whole grain protein snack in a variety of flavors including Peanut Butter Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate Mint. My son loves the Chocolate Mint and the other flavors were a big hit too. Perfect for after school snacks and even treats after baseball games!

What a fun idea! Kids would want to be active just to check it out. My grandkids love the Clif bars…the chocolate chip and chocolate brownie are tops. Can’t go wrong with nutrition and chocolate.
