Do you ever have those days that you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Generally feeling like the day is out to get you and you can’t wait to hop back under the covers and shut your eyes? That’s the day I picked to try to take pictures of my daughter in a very pretty Feltman Brothers heirloom dress I thought perfect for all occasions. Well it turns out four year old’s have opinions too and when you try to do something they don’t want they turn into something straight from a Sci-Fi movie. I thought we were over these hurdles…the terrible twos and threes were in the past and I was home free! See for yourselves our attempt at reviewing this dress. Ladies and Gents it’s not pretty!
We start with Miss C insisting the dress hurt. We made sure there were no more pins (there were a few) stuck in the dress and after assuring her the dress was fine she calmed down. I thought we were in the clear. But see that big ole tear running down her face? It was just the beginning…good intro for a Sci-Fi movie, yes? The dress is very well made and fits great. She wears a size 4-6 and this dress was a 4T with plenty of room for her to grow. As a mom of a daughter I want to say that I like the fit and style of the Rose Garden Fly Sleeve dress. She’s a little girl and all too often I find little girls wearing big girl styles and it’s eye opening.
I promise I didn’t tell her the dog died or we were moving! Those floppy hands and posture aren’t winning any prizes with mom this morning. I’m already frustrated and we’re only on the second picture.
I didn’t pinch her either! I promise. On the flip side this does show that perfect ironing in ruins! The dress already has wrinkles and she’s only been wearing it for five minutes. And this is why I don’t iron. Don’t judge.
And here we have my ultimate favorite. Remember that scene in Problem Child where Junior throws all of the birthday girl’s presents in the pool and sabotages the party? You then see her crying and stomping her feet to the song “I’ll Cry If I Want To”. I think for this post I really need that song playing in the background and maybe a GIF of that scene playing too? No? Fine! But fair warning it’s coming in a future post!
Here we have this lovely little girl modeling the same Rose Garden Fly Sleeve dress as Miss C and this is what it’s suppose to look like. This girl obviously got up on the right side of the bed. The pictures above demonstrate why I am not a professional photographer.
*Update* I asked my daughter to take another picture in the dress. And this time she cooperated and said ‘oh where I’m not crying?’. Please note the dress is lovely and did not cause my daughter to cry, she was simply having a bad day. I had one yesterday.

I like the Rose Garden Fly Sleeve dress in blue–white is not practical, and as a redhead, pink is NOT her color!

I’d choose the blue if I were here for the swaddle, but I am here for the Heirloom Baby Clothing Giveaway. I think the wrong question is in the form. I like the Cable Cardigan with Wooden Buttons or the Rose Garden Fly Sleeve Dress in white/pink.

Oh my goodness, your little girl is so adorable in that dress! My son used to randomly throw a fit about a shirt or pants that I knew he liked, then the next time he would put it on without an issue. The terrible twos have nothing on the terrible threes!

If I win I need a guarantee that the dress won’t make my daughter hold her arm, look up to the sky, and look like she is shouting, “WHYYYYYYYYYY?????” 🙂 So sorry she had to suffer but the dress is super cute on her!
