I am the mom to two soon to be three kids and let me tell you they are expensive! Don’t get me wrong, I love my daughter however her dreams of that new purple car seat are down the drain since baby number three is due to arrive in the next couple of weeks. My daughter often goes without the new items that her brother received but that’s also the advantage of having a boy first! Girls like blue too. I’m not sure who was more excited to learn that we were reviewing the Evenflo Platinum Symphony LX Car Seat since she would get to try something brand new for once!

EvenfloSymphonyLX-AutryEvenflo is introducing their Platinum Protection Series of car seats which regulates the fabric to keep babies and toddlers comfortable during all types of weather conditions. NASA-developed Outlast technology to help my kids keep from getting goosebumps during cold weather or sweaty during hot? Yes, please! Look at the picture below that indicates with this temperature controlling fabric what a difference it will make for your children. This fabric also helps to ensure a safer, more peaceful ride for both mom and child and help prevent an accident from ever happening.

According to a study conducted by American Baby and Safe Kids Worldwide, new moms are 300% more likely to get into an accident than other drivers, in part due to tending to an upset baby. A distracted driver is a risk on the road, and nothing can be more distracting to a mom driving than a crying baby or toddler.

Do you see that smile? Can we just say that the Buckle Pockets feature is the cause? Not only do they protect from hot buckle burns BUT they eliminate digging under your child for lost buckles. Ugh that is sooo annoying! But that smile is one of accomplishment because she found the buckles easily and was able to snap them into place all by herself. It never gets old seeing those grins.

Another great feature of this car seat is the ease of the transition in the car. It converts simply to rear facing from forward and visa versa. I know it is recommended for toddlers to be in a rear facing car seat for as long as possible and this model will give your children plenty of room to grow. Additional features include:

  • Machine-washable pad comes off easily and requires no harness re-threading
  • Up-front, multi-position recline offers comfort for your child
  • Infinite Slide Harness provides a safe, accurate fit and eliminates the need for harness re-threading as your little one grows
  • Up-front harness adjustment allows you to adjust the five-point harness from the front of the car seat
  • Integrated, dual cup holders
  • Quick Connector LATCH attaches and detaches easily with only one hand
  • e3 Side Impact Protection reduces the forces in side-impact crashes through advanced energy absorption and an extended zone of protection
  • Bucket pockets secure the buckle tongues away to help make getting in and out easy and safe
  • Multi-position headrest accommodates growing children and can be adjusted with one hand
  • Made in USA

Purchase the Evenflo Platinum Symphony LX Car Seat at Toys R Us for $229!  This All-In-One seat accommodates children ranging from 5 – 110 lbs.

This looks like a sturdy car seat. I think it would last a long time and keep kids safe.

What a nice carseat! My son really could use one like this. Love all the features..I hate digging under them to find the buckle!
