Creating An Easy Packed Lunch For Your Kids (Or At Least Mine!) #FuelYourImagination

I confess. I rarely go out of my way to create pretty lunches for my kids. Easy. Sure. Pretty? Nope. I guess it’s the expectation that I don’t want to trick my kids into thinking something tastes good just because it looks good. Yeah. I’m all like ‘It is what it is kid’. Besides, my son is a bottomless pit, a human garbage disposal, has a hollow leg if you will and I’ll be darned if I don’t have time to put the food on the table before he’s asking for seconds! He’s only five and I’ve no clue where he stuffs it all. But honestly it would be a wasted art at my house. But healthy I can do!

How I Create A Packed Lunch For Kids

Our lunches, picnic or otherwise, consists of a lot of healthy choices. A whole banana, yogurt and celery with some peanut butter for protein is what I pack. I may add some cheese and crackers or cut-up strawberries if they are in season. My kids also eat turkey or pepperoni slices with mozzarella sticks. Last year when my son went to extended preschool twice a week and I packed his lunch I was always partial to leftovers (as long as they didn’t need to be heated). You can pack these in fun colorful Tupperware containers with the bright lids or bento boxes and he loved it.

But What About The Drinks?

If your kids get tired of milk sometimes like mine do then swap it out with a fun drink! We tried Robinsons Fruitshoot and it was good. We were able to try the Berry Burst and Apple that I picked up at my local Speedway. My daughter really liked the Berry Burst however she may be biased since her favorite color is purple. My son on the other hand liked the Apple the best. He said he can’t know for sure until I get the other flavors when I go to the store again! He’s pushy!

Do you pack your kid’s lunches in an artistic way? What flavor Fruitshoot will you try first?

I have seen the flavour Strawberry & Raspberry but not sure what else you are missing. My internet is being so slow today and the page won’t load. =)
