As a teenager I always had a hard time with breakouts and finding an answer to my skin problems. I’d try washing my face multiple times a day, using astringents, face wash, beauty masks and I remember being exhausted trying it all. Finally, I got into a routine and learned that it’s more than washing my face but how I was taking care of myself. I want to stress the importance of routines and good habits to my nephew, Hunter, who is eleven. Good habits start at a young age and one as easy as washing your face with Clearasil face wash before you go to bed is important.

Hunter decided to try the Ultra Rapid Action Daily Gel Wash which is dermatologist tested. He read the label and was intrigued that it said ‘ Visibly clearer skin in as fast as 12 hours’. He also really liked the pump on the bottle. Something as simple as a pump might just give him the motivation to wash his face daily.
There he is washing his face. I think the expression on his face is so funny. I explained to him the important zones to get when he was using a wash cloth and to be gentle, don’t scrub at your skin. I asked him what it felt like and he said ‘tingly’ and it ‘smells like alcohol’. After he was done he swore up and down that his pimple had gone down. Thankfully I did not get a close up of the pimple so I’ll never know!
Thankfully in this picture you can tell he’s not having a breakout. I worry about his bangs being on his forehead, especially when he’s playing basketball and gets sweaty. I stressed the importance of showering and immediately washing his face. I don’t him to have skin like me or his mother did when we were teens. Hopefully I’ve caught his attention and he’ll realize how important washing his face with a wash like Clearasil can be.
