Even though this is baby number three for me, there are still things I am researching, still things to worry about. My middle child is four. So many products have changed for babies since then. It’s amazing to see the new technologies and all the improvements to baby gear, including bottles. Even though my first goal is to breastfeed #3, I know how important it is to find the right bottle to help transition baby too.
Luckily Chicco’s NaturalFit Advanced Feeding & Soothing System is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Their new NaturalFit nipples are made of extra-soft silicone. The nipple’s shape and texture is designed for easy transition between breast and bottle. Nipple confusion is something that I’ve always feared. I want hubby to be involved absolutely, but I want the transition to be as easy on baby and all of us as possible.
Chicco NaturalFit has a three stage nipple system to best suit what stage of feeding your baby is in and what they need. Stage One is the Newborn Flow and it helps reduce air ingestion by always keeping the nipple full of milk. The unique angled nipple has a wider, rounded base which aids newborn latch and encourages proper neck positioning.
Stage Two is Adjustable Flow, in slow, medium and fast. The angled nipple is changed to straight at this level, to adapt to baby’s advanced feeding skills. The three adjustable flow nipples help adjust flow rate for baby’s growing appetite.
Stage Three is Fast Flow and comes in an 11 ounce bottle. The fast flow nipple is designed to accommodate an older baby’s increased suction strength. It also has a smaller and less rounded base for tighter lip support. There are also Y cut nipples sold separately for this stage.
I went to Babies R Us to check out Chicco’s new NaturalFit System and was happy to find its own separate display! Also, passed the bottle stage, they offer training cups, pacifiers and teethers. I was also very happy to see that if you aren’t completely satisfied with the system, Chicco will refund the cost of your bottle purchase and shipping when sending the bottles back!
