Celebrate Halloween With Hershey’s Candy! #HersheysHalloween

Halloween Confessions

I confess. I ate all of the white chocolate Kit Kat bars before I snapped a picture. I confess. I don’ t like white chocolate but Kit Kats covered in anything I’ll eat!  As you can probably figure out we love candy at our house, especially Hershey’s Halloween Candy. Tomorrow is the big day and the kids will get to go out and have a blast Trick or Treating and hopefully bring mom home a giant size Hershey bar!

This year, instead of decorating pumpkins (I think), we’d decided the ones the kids decorated at their school fair would be enough. They really love those little pumpkins and haven’t mentioned carving any until we decided to work on our craft project. Mother’s guilt will probably prompt me to go out and buy one at the store for us to carve. But we had a lot of fun making a pumpkin candy holder for all of the kids to choose a sucker on Beggar’s Night! It’ really quite simple to do.

This is what you need to make a Halloween Pumpkin Sucker Holder

A pumpkin of any size carved or uncarved

A mini screwdriver or a drill (depends on the thickness of the pumpkin)

Suckers

Kids to help

Poke or drill holes in your pumpkin. Spacing is up to you. There is no right or wrong way. Mr. C is using that little screwdriver perfectly.

Make sure your holes are big enough and put the sticks of the suckers in. We’re using Hershey’s Caramel Apple flavored Jolly Rancher suckers.

Sit back and enjoy your creation!

We plan to put this outside next to the bowl of candy for kids to take during Trick or Treat. If you are using a carved pumpkin and want to have it lit up I would suggest using a battery operated light. As you can see the kids are pretty proud of themselves. It was very easy for them to do with little interference from me. Have fun with your kids too and Happy Halloween!
