You’ve heard of buying Easter Bunnies and Chicks for your kids for Easter right? Well we’re taking it a step further and buying an Easter Piggy…Guinea Pig that is! Our daughter calls them piggies and that’s a nickname for them too. We currently have one (Queen Amidala) which we bought on Christmas Eve for Christmas morning. We bought both my son and daughter one but unfortunately Princess Leia (my daughter’s) didn’t make it. The pet store suspected she had diabetes since she grew so fast and eventually passed away. My kids took it well but we’d like to get my daughter and feel enough time has passed. Guinea Pigs also like companions and thought it would be a great time to get another and surprise the kids.
Searching the web for deals on cages and food is should be easy this time of year with all the great Easter deals on coupons.com. The guinea pig may go in the same cage eventually but we’re leery about having them bunk together right off the bat. Petsmart.com or Pet360 will have cages and bedding that will be nice to have coupon codes for when I’m ready to purchase the piggies.
