I love coffee. I guess that’s a given seeing as I’m reviewing the yummy liquid gold! Brooklyn Bean Roastery sent me samples of Fuhgeddaboutit and I think they knew my husband when these samples were sent. He loves dark roast coffee and often complains if I bring home a flavor other than bold. I think Brooklyn Bean Roastery got it right when they said:
Look, you wanna know about this coffee? You wanna know if it’s the darkest of dark roasts, the boldest of extra bolds? You wanna know if this can wake you up even after you’ve been sleeping with the fishes? Fuhgeddaboudit! Okay, okay, I can tell you this much… if you’re looking for a tasty, full-bodied, smoky blend, this is the brew for you.
Ha! They also must know my husband loves The Godfather although I think most men do! So how did it like it? He’s drank a few cups a day since we received them if that’s any indication. He drinks his coffee black (blech) and said it was bold and flavorful without being too bitter. No bitter coffee face for him!
I enjoyed the coffee too. While bold is not my flavor of choice, I will drink it over a light roast. Cream, no sugar for me please! Depending on the strength I usually pour the equivalent of six creams in a cup of coffee. I like it really creamy and I try to alleviate the bitterness. This coffee was strong but I enjoyed the flavor.
