Our next sponsor for our event is bixbi balance bikes! My daughter has not quite mastered her bike with training wheels and she’ll be three on the 17th. Yes, that’s my little lucky charm in our event picture. She’s usually a quick learner since her brother teaches her everything but that pesky bike and balancing on those training wheels is just a bit too tricky right now.

The owners of bixbi BIKES decided to create a miniature version of a mountain bike. They wanted a solid and safe design and for it to look cool. Creating something different from the balance bikes that were already on the market was a main goal of theirs. We own another balance bike that has fatter wheels and honestly the kids don’t mess with it too much. I find that it does not have appeal for their age and it’s hard to maneuver. The route 12 is bixbi’s first bike and is for ages 2-5.

You can see Miss C intently focusing on riding her bike. Part of the fun of the bixbi bike is the cool bell that she can ring. She loves that bell and I hear ‘beep beep’ all day long when she’s riding. The bike is lightweight and very easy for her to get on and off. She’s not quite mastered lifting her feet and going with any type of speed but once it gets warmer outside and she’s been riding more I’m sure it will come naturally.

Mr C. is showing his sister exactly how it’s done. I love this picture of him starting to balance. He looks so goofy but he went far! Last summer he was four and wanted to take his training wheels off. While he’s not perfectly coordinated, he now rides without training wheels and has so much fun zooming up and down the street. He’s taken it upon himself to show his sister how to balance on the bixbi so she’ll be able to ride without training wheels too.
You can buy the route 12 bixbi bike for $220 on the bixbi BIKES website. They come in three colors, orange, black and white. You can also have the bikes customized with your child’s name, hot-rod flames or Hawaiian flowers.

These are out of my budget, but I can definitely see how they would be a hit with the kids. They look much more like “big kids bikes” 🙂

What a nice bike for kids from 2-5 that is small enough and does not need training wheels to ride and has a horn. This is a great bike to get. The color is gorgeous!

These are a bit pricey but looks like fun and it does theach them easily how to balance so they don’t have fear of riding with o wheels. I like them and wish they had these when my children were young
