goBibleLogoanimatesI have never thought of how I would teach the Bible to my daughter. I’m not well versed in it and I know I want her to learn the way that will be easiest for her age. As a child lots of colors and vibrant voices help bring stories to life and that’s exactly what Go Bible’s Animates do. They have two fluffy fun animals to choose from; A bear or puppy. I chose the puppy as I knew my toddler would love it! These Animates have a plug that you can fit into the speaker jack on your phone so your phone will play cartoon stories. The puppy or bear will move their mouths according to what is being said.

The adorable child’s voice that comes from the puppy is perfect for interaction with my toddler. It’s a voice she will listen to and not get scared of. There are points in the stories where a man’s voice comes out but nothing to where it frightens my daughter. If you would like to record your voice you can do that as well. Pressing the button in the tail will allow you to start a recording of your voice and you simply let go of it when you’re finished. I recorded a simple phrase saying “I love you very, very much.” With her name of course. There’s many times after she’s been tucked in bed that I will hear that recording go off in her bedroom. It must be quite soothing as she passes out not too long after.

There are many stories that are plugged into this cute stuffed animal. Over 35 to be exact! If you download the free Go Bible Animates app on your phone it will provide a list of other stories and songs but not as many as the Animates comes with preloaded. The stories are not too long. They’re a short amount of time and get the point across about the Lord Jesus and his Disciples. If you truly want to engage in reading the Bible with your little one then one of these cuddly little furry friends is the perfect choice.

biblestoriesThe puppy is very soft to the touch and somewhat cuddly. I’m sure due to the electronics that are inside the body it’s not meant to be completely soft. The bottom part has fur that has velcro so you can hide the controls. The tail does not however but you can easily press the cord into the back to prevent it from being touched. I have noticed if I do that then if you press one of the paws the dog’s mouth moves but no voices are heard. I usually leave the cord unplugged that can kind of get in the way when my daughter is trying to hold onto it. Easy remedy by plugging it into your phone so your child can watch the stories instead of just listening to them.

This is an amazing way to share the way of the Lord with your little one. I have enjoyed playing the stories even when my daughter is in bed and learning some things myself. It’s nice to interact with your little one at night while listening to a story from the Bible.
