Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole
I had to share this recipe I made for dinner last night. It was amazingly delicious! The kids ate it too so it’s definitely a keeper. I’ve made spaghetti just about every way possible except this way and I am so happy I tried it. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s pretty perfect. I see this becoming a regular on our menu. I did make a few changes of my own which are listed below. What’s your favorite pasta dish? (Adapted from Plainchicken.com)
Ingredients
- 16 oz. spaghetti
- 32 oz. spaghetti sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Directions
1.) Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
2.) Brown the ground beef, drain, add spaghetti sauce then set aside.
3.) While beef is cooking, cook spaghetti. I cooked until al dente. Drain and pour in a bowl.
4.) Add cream cheese, Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Stir until mixed thoroughly and cream cheese is melted.
5.) Grease a 9×13 casserole dish. You can spread a small amount of meat sauce in the bottom of the dish.
6.) Spread spaghetti mixture on top of sauce.
7.) Pour the remaining meat sauce on top of the spaghetti and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. I also used Mozzarella.
8.) Bake for 30-40 minutes and let cool for five minutes.
