Touch ‘n Sing Along App Helps Toddlers Learn The Alphabet!

My kids love playing games on our iPhones. My husband set up his old iPhone so that our son could play games without having to give up his own phone. This lets us be assured he won’t delete any important information on our phones. Recently our daughter has been wanting to play games too but some of the games she wants to play on her brothers phone are just too tough since she’s only two. We came across the Touch ‘n Sing Along app and she loves it. The app is a nice change from some of the other games she’s gotten use to playing on Mr. C’s phone.

Miss C enjoyed playing the alphabet game where you have to match the balloon with another balloon of the same letter. The alphabet song is sung continuously in the background which lets them hear it over and over while learning the individual letters. After the letters are matched the balloon pops and an animal or picture is shown whose name begins with the letter that was popped. It’s cute and my son was excited to see what pictures were next. I did not like the voice of the narrator giving instructions though. “Pop the same letter” was said a lot and that voice was annoying. To me. Not so much the kids. However, I did like when a balloon was touched, other than the one to be matched, it showed the letters in lower case form.

Mr. C danced to the The Hokey Pokey a lot and even dad joined in. Miss C was a bit confused about the appendiges she put in and out but had fun shaking all the same. At two she’s not expected to know right from left so I wasn’t surprised! While the song is playing there’s a hand pointing to the monster’s head that says ‘shake’. You are suppose to touch it and he say ‘head’. If you touch his butt, arms and legs he does the same but the arrow only ever points to the head. Also, when you touch the feet he pops them out and will say ‘left foot’ or ‘right foot’ however it’s not the correct foot that he says is left or right. I can only assume that when the kids look at the monster they will put out the foot opposite of his.

You’ll also notice different characters in the background. I had no clue they could do the Hokey Pokey too until my daughter touched one and they came up to the center where the monster is. They are cute except for the lady on the left in a dress…I’m not really sure why there is a character like her in a kids game?

Overall I think kids will enjoy this app especially if you buy the Super Pack, which I did not. They are an additional $4.99 for six songs. Hokey Pokey and The Alphabet song are included with the download.

Find the Touch ‘n Sing Along App on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Kindle!
