Welcome to the Anything Goes September Giveaway Hop
This event is hosted by The Review Wire and Review Wire Media. This hop is dedicated to…anything! All participating blogs have a giveaway of at least $20 so hop down the list to see what they have in store for you. Make sure to also check out the Grand Prize over at The Review Wire and enter to win a Bamboni blanket from Saranoni, a retail value of $110! Here at TKDI you can enter to win the Chuggington Wooden Railway Wilson’s Lift & Load Figure 8 Set ($40) US only.
Who doesn’t love train sets? My daughter is just a little over two years old and I recently received the Chuggington Wooden Railway Wilson’s Lift & Load Figure 8 Set thanks to Tomy, to review. She adores trains and actually has had a Chuggington Train Set from the beginning of this year and I was looking for additions to it. Although the Lift & Load Figure 8 set can be played with by itself, you might want to purchase extra train tracks for added fun!
The wood is made well enough that my husband commented that he liked it much more than any other train sets out there. They are smooth on the edges and my daughter hasn’t gotten hurt playing with them. She has no problem putting the sets together which is a huge bonus for me!
(The Princess Castle Set in the middle of the tracks is in no way associated with Tomy or Chuggington)
The instructions are very clear on how to assemble it and my husband was quick to add on the other train set that our little girl had already. The crane swivels with ease and the magnet attaches to the wooden block and pulls off with no problem. Of course when I showed my daughter the crane and the block she was entertained for quite a while. I did notice when she sent the trains down the hill of the tracks they flew off when they hit the curve. The plastic tracks that attach to the grey ramps tend to fall apart easily since they just slide onto hooks in the ramps, which isn’t that big of a deal other than noticeable. That didn’t phase my daughter, she picked it up and continued to play. Any Chuggington Train Set will keep your child entertained for hours! My husband set up her princess castle in the middle to make a village and she would rather play with her train set than her castle. She also is entertained with clicking the magnets together on the different trains she has.
And here’s some exciting news! Anchor Bay will release Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue nationwide on DVD August 20, 2013! The DVD will include never-before-seen episodes and a free gift with purchase. Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue will also be a TV special this fall and will have a corresponding die-cast playset based on the storyline and locations seen on the DVD.
