Dali Decals Decorates All Of Your Rooms

By: Amanda39 Comments

walldecals

There’s a new popular obsession going around and that obsession would be decals. Wall decals. I never really knew what they were until last year (I’m behind on my game, I know). Dali Decals opened up the world of wall art to me the minute I opened their website. So many amazing designs to choose from! I settled for a positive quote and a gorgeous design of butterflies and bees for my daughter’s room. I will remind you that I have never put wall decals up, ever. To me, it seemed as though it would be either the most difficult thing to do or the easiest. I can safely say after doing this for the first time you have to get used to it before it gets easier.

At first, it was pretty difficult to understand the directions, so I figured I would wing what I kind of understood. I taped it to the wall with just scotch tape. I didn’t have painter’s tape available, and it still peeled off with no problem (I had my fingers crossed). I had no problem other than the decal sticking to the thick paper and not the transfer paper. That made it very difficult. It did it a few times while I was pulling back the transfer side but I managed to fix it with my fingers. After I got the quote up in my bedroom (which my daughter loved, by the way. Pure entertainment for a toddler), I figured I would wait until the next morning to do the one in my daughter’s bedroom. I put that one up today. Talk about sweat! But it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Each little flower, bee, and petal I had to cut out separate from the others to put on the wall. This decal took me about 45 minutes to complete. That and I had to stand on my daughter’s bed to do it so it wasn’t that comfortable. After I taped all the pieces where I wanted them to go, I started with the bottom left and peeled and stuck one by one. The decals continued to stick to the thicker paper and frustrated me. I accidentally ripped one of the flowers but I fixed it. I’m sure my toddler won’t notice a difference but I will. I must say that despite taking so long and sweating to death, it turned out amazing. I am so proud of both of them and the way they look. Not only do they add character to both rooms but they’re so artistic, simple but gorgeous. It’s worth spending the time and effort to make it look nice. Let’s just say I will be ordering some more from Dali Decals, I sweat a bit but once I was halfway done with my daughter’s I was going through it like a breeze and having a little too much fun. I’m in the mood to do another one.

My daughter is grown. I’m learning as my nieces get older they’re more fun to be with. It’s fun seeing the excitement in their eyes when they see something for the first time. We can learn a lot from kids. Thank you 🙂

We visited parks and museums – the kids love hands on learning. When we visited the state capital, it was interesting how they related to seeing and hearing the Governor on the news after that.
