My kids love to snack and I TRY to get them to eat healthy. In fact, my son has no problem with eating healthy, as his greatest ambition right now it to be exactly like his dad. Insert “You’ll only grow as big and strong as daddy if you eat your fruits and veggies”. It works…on my son. My daughter is a different can of worms entirely. She’s very, very, picky and really only ever wants milk. I was quite surprised when she took a bag of Funny Face cranberries and popped a few in her mouth. And as you see below I have proof!
We received a selection of dried cranberries for the kids to try and they dug into the bags right away. As I said, my daughter squirreled a bag away and began eating the Rootin’ Tootin’ Raspberry. My son headed off to watch cartoons with a bag of the Goofy Grape. When asked to describe his snack he replied “they make my mouth bunch up” and “mmm they are good mom”. So, to decipher four year old lingo, they were tart and made his mouth pucker and I can buy these and he’ll eat them!
Funny Face dried cranberries come in four flavors:
Rootin Tootin Raspberry- Miss C loved this flavor but Mr. C was just ‘ok’ with the taste.
Choo Choo Cherry-We ate these in a spinach salad with homemade vinaigrette one night instead of dried cherries and it was good! The flavor of the cherry wasn’t overpowered from the cranberry.
Goofy Grape-Mr. C’s favorite. Not surprising since he could eat a bunch of grapes in one sitting.
Freckle Face Strawberry-I enjoyed this flavor the most. The cranberry seemed a little mellower when paired with the flavor.
