When moms get sick we still have a job to do regardless if we work inside or outside the home. I recently had the opportunity to try Vicks DayQuil & Nyquil and it couldn’t have come at a better time. A sick bug ran rampant in our house off and on for about three weeks. It seemed no matter how hard I cleaned or covered mouths and washed hands someone was sick!
I took DayQuil as directed for relief of my cold and flu symptoms. I really needed to take care of my kids while they weren’t feeling well so DayQuil gave me enough relief that I could get through the day. I’m glad I was sent liquicaps since I have an aversion to liquid cold medicine and can’t swallow it.
My husband was last to get sick (and of course got it the “worst”) so he was very happy to take the NyQuil when he got home from work. He rarely misses any days so taking the medicine gave him much needed relief. He doesn’t mind taking liquid medicines and finds them easy to get down.
To prevent from getting sick we try to avoid the malls and public places, especially with the kids, during cold and flu season. No, we’re not recluse! We still go out and the kids have school but unfortunately people go out when they are sick and don’t wash their hands or cover their mouths!
I’ll also do a deep scrub and sanitize some of the toys I know my kids have used. I make sure I wipe down door knobs and light switches and you can’t forget about the faucet and toilet handles either. I love sanitizing wipes and the kids will also participate in the cleaning if I give them one. Nothing like free labor!

- DayQuil & Nyquil is not recommended for children younger than 12. Please be sure to consult your physician before giving DayQuil & NyQuil to children.
- When using DayQuil/NyQuil, be sure to follow the usage guidelines for warnings and dosage directions.
